Invited by Associate Professor Shang Wang and Professor Yanhong Tian, School of Materials Science and Engineering, State Key Laboratory of Precision Welding and Connecting of Material Structures, Professor Andreu Cabot from the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), Spain, will deliver a series of academic lectures in 2026.

This lecture focuses on the bottom‑up technical route for fabricating thermoelectric nanomaterials based on liquid‑phase nanoparticles, covering nanoparticle synthesis, surface and electronic doping, assembly, and densification for preparing functional nanocomposites. It also describes the relevant processes for processing these materials into thermoelectric devices and functional inks, with an emphasis on electrohydrodynamic jet printing technology. By modulating sub‑micron jets via electrostatic forces, rapid adjustment of jet trajectories as well as high‑speed, high‑resolution deposition can be achieved, opening a new pathway for additive manufacturing of thermoelectric micro‑nano structures.

Speaker: Andreu Cabot
