To stimulate and cultivate the innovative spirit of doctoral students, broaden their academic horizons, foster a vibrant scholarly atmosphere, and facilitate the exchange of outstanding research outcomes, and in close alignment with the national strategic imperatives of AI-empowered new materials R&D and the development of new quality productive forces, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, in collaboration with the Faculty of Computing, at Harbin Institute of Technology, will convene the AI For Materials – Joint Doctoral Forum on Future Materials and Intelligent Thermal Processing, concurrent with the 21st Doctoral Forum of the Materials Science and Engineering Discipline.

2. Parallel Sub-Fora and Special Sessions
Time: To be organized by each secondary discipline.
Sub-Forum Configuration: Seven parallel sub-fora corresponding to disciplinary directions will be established, featuring over 200 oral presentations by doctoral candidates. Each sub-forum will invite industry experts and scholars to participate in the full cycle of presentation evaluations, interactive discussions, and academic mentoring.
Outstanding Presentation Awards: Each sub-forum will select approximately 10% of the presentations as Outstanding Presentations, based on a comprehensive assessment of presentation quality, academic merit, and on-site performance. Certificates will be awarded to the recipients.
III. Participants
1.Doctoral students scheduled to undergo their mid-term doctoral candidacy review in the Spring semester of 2026 are required to attend the full plenary session in its entirety and complete on-site check-in.
2. Doctoral students delivering oral presentations are expected to complete all preparatory work and deliver their presentations in accordance with the forum requirements.
3.Faculty members and students who are not presenting oral reports are warmly welcome to attend the plenary session and actively engage in the academic exchanges.
